These are the plain-language terms for the service as shipped. They are not legal advice for your own product or agreement.

Using the files

The example files are free for any use, with no attribution required. You are responsible for how you use them.

As-is, no warranty

Everything on this site is provided as-is and without warranty of any kind, express or implied. This is important here because the library deliberately distributes corrupt, malformed, and edge-case filesfor error-handling tests. Those files are labelled “intentionally corrupt,” and by downloading them you accept that they are not valid files and are not fit for normal use.

Acceptable use

• Don't use the site to attempt to disrupt, overload, or attack it or others.
• Don't misrepresent the files as your own original works where that matters (though no attribution is required).
• Don't rely on any file for a safety-critical purpose.

Local editors and generated media

Editors and synthetic media generators run in your browser. You are responsible for content you enter or select, for retaining any output you need, and for checking that an export is appropriate for your test. Local drafts and collections are device conveniences, not a cloud backup, and may disappear when browser data is cleared. The service does not promise that an interrupted job or closed tab can be recovered.

Codec availability and output can vary by browser, operating system, hardware, and country. A WebCodecs artifact carries content reproducibility, not a promise of identical bytes across devices. Pinned encoder packages and their upstream codec notices are described in the browser media encoder documentation. Using a tool does not grant a patent, trademark, music, image, or other third-party licence.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Novus Stream Solutions is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or its files, including any loss caused by an intentionally corrupt file behaving exactly as designed.
