Privacy policy
Last reviewed: 21 August 2026
This policy explains in plain language how Novus Examples handles data. It describes the service as shipped; it is general information, not legal advice for your own project. The site is operated by Novus Stream Solutions, a sole proprietorship trading as Novus Stream Solutions in London, Ontario, Canada. As a Canadian operator we handle personal information in line with PIPEDA and applicable Ontario law.
What we collect
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4). We use Google Analytics to measure overall usage. It runs with Consent Mode v2. In EU/EEA/UK and unknown-timezone visits, or when Global Privacy Control is present, Analytics starts denied; elsewhere the category starts enabled under an opt-out notice. While denied it sets no analytics cookies and may send only aggregate, cookieless signals; while enabled it can set standard analytics cookies (such as
_ga). Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses — an IP is used only momentarily to derive a coarse, city-level location and is then discarded. - Advertising (Adsterra). Eligible product and content pages can show Adsterra display and native ads, and a consented download or export can open an Adsterra Smartlink in a separate tab. Advertising is blocked until opt-in in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, starts enabled with an opt-out notice elsewhere, and remains blocked whenever Global Privacy Control or your saved preference disables it. Legal, consent, security, and accessibility pages carry no Adsterra code. Google AdSense and Infolinks are not loaded.
- Contact you send us. If you email us or submit a form, we receive whatever you choose to include. The on-site form currently posts to a demo endpoint that stores nothing; email is the real channel.
- Server logs. Our host keeps standard technical logs (IP address, timestamp, request) for security and reliability.
Files, editors, and local creation
Catalog downloads are static files. Text, form, document, and visual editing happens on your device. The synthetic audio and video workspaces do not request a camera or microphone, accept an upload, create an account, or send source media to a Novus server. After you press Generate, the browser loads the required first-party worker and, where selected, a pinned WebAssembly encoder bundle. Generated bytes remain in browser memory until you download, cancel, retry, replace, or close the page.
Optional local conveniences also stay on this device: Form and Document Studio drafts use local storage; Visual Studio can keep selected image assets in IndexedDB; Browse can retain one versioned local collection; and blog or documentation feedback remembers only whether you selected yes or no. None of that content is synced to us. Clear it in the relevant workspace or clear this site's browser data to remove it. The exact storage names are listed in the cookie and storage policy.
What we don't do
- No user accounts and no login.
- No file-upload endpoint and no server-side media processing.
- No camera, microphone, geolocation, or display-capture permission.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
- No advertising scripts or advertising cookies while the Advertising category is disabled.
Your choices
You control non-essential categories from the cookie preferences panel, which also lists every cookie by name. EU/EEA/UK and unknown-timezone visits begin with non-essential categories off; most other visits — including Canada — begin with them on under an opt-out notice. Your saved choice and Global Privacy Control override that starting state, and you can disable either category at any time. See the cookie policy and terms of use for more.
How Google uses data, and opting out
When Analytics is enabled, Google processes usage data as described in Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Beyond withdrawing consent here, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to block Analytics on every site.
Data retention
- Analytics: Google retains event-level Analytics data for up to 14 months, then aggregates it.
- Server logs: standard technical logs are kept for a short period for security and reliability.
- Consent choice: stored in your browser only (see the cookie policy), never on our servers.
- Local drafts, collections, assets, and feedback: retained on this device until you clear them.
- Generated audio/video: kept in memory for the current page session and released when the job or page ends.
- Offline app shell: if you use the installable Progressive Web App, your browser may cache a small set of first-party pages for offline chrome; downloads and ad/analytics scripts are not cached that way.
Children
This site is a general-audience fixture library and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete anything we hold.
Who we are & where the site runs
This site is operated by Novus Stream Solutions, a sole proprietorship trading as Novus Stream Solutions in London, Ontario, Canada. It is a static site hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard technical logs to serve requests. There is no database and there are no server-side secrets or accounts — the deployed app stores nothing about you on our servers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes; the “last reviewed” date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected here.
