FCPXML is Apple's XML interchange format for Final Cut Pro libraries, events, projects, timelines, resources, effects, and metadata. Time values are commonly expressed as rational seconds, resources are declared once and referenced by identifier, and the document version controls which elements and attributes an importer may accept.
