What is a .amf file?

application/x-amf+xml

AMF (Additive Manufacturing File Format) is an XML format for 3D-printing geometry and manufacturing metadata. It represents objects as vertices and triangular volumes and can also describe units, materials, colours, textures, constellations, and metadata without the ambiguity of a unitless STL file.

How to use a .amf file

Use an example .amf file to test namespace-aware XML parsing, unit handling, indexed triangle validation, multiple volumes and materials, and semantic comparison of the reconstructed mesh against documented bounds.
